Dinning Night Out #3

Hello WRR
I just wanted to let you know that there were seven WRR members at Taste of Thai last night for our third monthly WRR Dinning Night Out. I truely believe everyone had a good time. Lots of conversation, laughter, friendship, new connections made, old connections renewed. AND THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!

Our fourth WRR Dinning Night Out will be on Thursday May 28 at Inca's on the corner of Naugatuck Ave. and Milford Point Rd. zt 6PM. There will be a sign up at our May 11 meeting.

Barbara, Fran and I will be on the Cable Access channel soon talking about WRR. We're pretty excited to be spreading the word, and once we know when it will be aired, we'll let you all know.
They will have a DVD of the show and we'll be buying a copy.
If you'd like us to show the DVD at one of the meetings, let us know!

WRR's First Dinnig Night Out

Last night WRR's first Dinning Night Out was held at Nello's. Eight members attended enjoying delicious food at a great price and engaging, fun converstation which was often punctuated with heartfelt laughter.

Our next Dinning Night Out is scheduled for Thursday, March 26 at 6 o'clock PM at Vazzy's next to Shope Rite on Cherry Street. There will be a sign up sheet at our March 9 meeting ( which by the way starts at 6PM).

I sincerely hope you join us at Vazzy's!! The more the merrier!!

Upcoming events so far!!

Hello everyone!

I think I have the blog working!!! : )

I have had some time today to browse some possible future events for us at the Bridgeport Cabaret.

I found two that I personally am interested in and hope some of you would like to join me!

"Man in Black" a tribute to the late, great Johnny Cash will be in Bridgeport on Sunday, May 17, 2009. I was looking at the 5:30 show. Tickets are $33. I will have a sign up sheet at our March meeting. Or you can sign up by sending me an e-mail. Sign up no later than March 31.



The other show I am interested in is "The Kingston Trio"! What a treat!! That show is Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 5:30. These tickets are $39.50. I will have a sign up at our June meeting or you can sign up by sending me an e-mail. Cut off for sign up is June 30.

I also saw "Rain" a tribute to the Beattles at the Bushnell. That will be Sunday June 7 at 7:30 and the tickets are $35. Any interest here??

Cablevision Interview

Hello WRR!

Just to let you know that we have been discovered!
Cablevision has asked to interview me for a Public Access Program called AGELESS which airs on channel 77.
Nancy and Fran are joining me, later this month, for the taping. We plan give an overview of WRR and its focus, and describe some of our programs and what the organization has meant to our members.
If you have anything you'd like us to mention,feel free to email me and we'll try to include as many of your comments as possible.
